1) Who we are

NewsPlay (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Northover Media. We provide a channel-surfing style news and factual streaming experience through our website and related features (the “Service”).

2) Scope

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use newsplays.com. It covers data collected directly by us and via third-party tools such as Google Analytics / Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, embedded media players (e.g., YouTube), and other plugins we use to run the Service.

  • Account & contact data (if you create an account or contact us): email, display name, hashed password, preferences, support messages.
  • Usage & device data: pages viewed, clicks, referrer, timestamps, IP address, approximate location, browser & device type, settings.

We de-identify or delete data when no longer needed.

10) Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, backups). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Your rights

Australia: access and correction (APP 12/13).
EEA/UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where applicable.

12) Children
