Who we are

NewsPlay is operated by Northover Media, Inc., a Delaware corporation. This policy explains what data we collect when you use newsplays.com and what we do with it.

No account, no personal data

We do not require sign-up, login, or payment. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any directly identifying personal information unless you choose to send us a support email — in which case we use that information solely to reply.

What we collect automatically

  • Approximate location (country / city level) derived from your IP address, used for analytics and for serving region- appropriate ads.
  • Device and browser type (e.g. iPhone, Chrome) to help us render the site correctly.
  • Pages viewed and channels watched, plus the date and time, for analytics and product improvement.
  • Advertising ID (where available) for ad measurement and frequency-capping by our ad partners.

Third-party services we use

  • Google Analytics 4 — page-level analytics. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Ad Manager (DoubleClick) — serves the pre-roll and display advertising you see on NewsPlay. IAB TCF v2.2 consent applies in EU/UK where required.
  • Meta Pixel — pageview + content-view events sent to Meta for ad-campaign measurement. See Meta's data policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Cookies & local storage

NewsPlay uses cookies and browser sessionStorage for: (a) ad frequency-capping (so you don't see the same pre-roll twice per session), (b) analytics, and (c) remembering UI preferences. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings.

Your choices

You can use NewsPlay in your browser's private/incognito mode to minimise tracking. In supported regions, your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is honoured for opting out of sale/sharing of personal information.

Children

NewsPlay is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
